I'm sure this is a good resource for some nursing research classes, but as a required text for my nursing research class, it did not provide the information I needed to complete assignments. This is more a school issue rather than a book issue. There are other nursing research books out there that explain things in a manner which is easier for the novice nurse researcher to interpret. Because I needed to find other sources which explained things in a manner that was easier to interpret I'm giving the book three stars. It has lots of information, but if you are new to nursing research it doesn't use language which is effective at helping the learner grasp concepts easily.

Nowhere did the description disclose that this was the international edition. The picture sure didn't. Even states on the cover Not authorized for sale in US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, or Virginia Islands. I hope it is close enough to the version I assumed I was ordering to compete my class.

- The book I received is not the book pictured- it's actually the South Asian Edition, for the specific countries listed on the book's cover, & states "circulation outside this territory is strictly prohibited"

The content of book itself is great. however I would recommend buying it in vitalsource bookshelf format as I had to go back and do. It is a far better user format for a book of this size and scope. I had bought kindle books before (for macbook and iPhone) but was rather limited in my experience with them. In this book, there is no search function ("X-ray"as I just found out it was called) or page numbers to reference when they are listed in class. This really hurts the functionality of a textbook of this size. I realized this totally limits the use of a kindle in this fashion. It actually makes the book purchased quite useless. I called to to ask for a refund based on these issues, but because it was greater than 7 days, I could not obtain one. The employee said "it is assumed the entire book can be read in 7 days" so they would not issue one. I reminded her that this was a 600 page printed college textbook designed to be read over a 4 month semester and that my class started after I bought the book. Despite this, she still insisted it is assumed I read it in 7 days. Very pleasant customer service rep but the logic regarding the product they were selling and it's use lacked some common sense. sorry, last kindle textbook for me.

The content of this book was wonderful, the quality of the book, not so much. It literally fell apart. I wanted to keep this book as a reference but I will probably just throw it away. Could never resell it! I think they should replace it!

When the book arrived it is an International Edition, not authorized to be sold in the United States. I am extremely displeased. I could have bought a brand new book without this issue for $20 more. Very sad that there was no disclaimer about this product !

Got this book as a rental. It was brand new! I was very impressed by this. I barely cracked the pages for my course, so the next person getting this book it will be practically new as well.

This item is a South Asian edition which is not stated on Amazon. This item clearly states on the cover that it is illegal to circulate outside of Southeast Asia Territory. I live in the USA and last I knew Amazon was based out of the USA as well.

Todo lo que dice el libro en algún momento de nuestras vidas lo hemos escuchado, pero a través de el hemos encontrado razones contundentes para comenzar a aplicarlo. Y no solo eso, el libro trata de cambiar ciertos habitos en nuestra mente que nos llevan a tomar decisiones erradas en cuanto a nuestras finanzas.Sin duda alguna un 5/5. Inmediatamente comencé a realizar mi registro de ingresos y gastos, presupuesto y ahorro. Además que me propuse no comprar absolutamente nada a crédito. Nada de "Disfrutar ahora, pagar después", lo mejor es "Ahorrar ahora, disfrutar después."

Las finanzas son unas de las cosas que mas golpean nuestra vida, sufrimos muchas veces por problemas económicos, por no entender a manejar nuestros ingresos, pero aun así es el tema que menos nos informamos. Este es un excelente libro para comenzar la travesía de educarnos sobre el mundo de las finanzas. Para ser honesto no lo he terminado de leer pero desde el primer capitulo el autor captura la atención del lector. Lo recomiendo.

Contiene buenos consejos y principios como para ser aplicados, siento que es un libro con varias mezclas de varios tópicos. Desconozco si este libro fue traducido del ingles al español o viceversa,pero la traducción me dejo un descontento(ca-sa, bibli-oteca-finan-zas).

Muy buen libro, tiene consejos prácticos, vale la pena leerlo y poner en práctica lo aprendido.Ojalá lo hubiera leído antes.

Por mucho, uno de los libros de finanzas familiares y personales que detalla con sencillez todos los pasos a seguir. Encantada porque ahora sí aprendí verdaderamente a ordenar mis finanzas. Gracias

very easy and explanatory language for what could be a dense/confusing subject. Paul Portner is a great writer.

Although Portner writes with a charming style and makes difficult problems of semantics clear, yet I feel he didn't answer the question printed on its cover. The different approaches to semantics, and their relation to the formal approach, still remain mystery to me. The lambda-abstraction was barely touched, and semantic calculus wasn't even mentioned.I've enjoyed reading it, but I must say I'd rather have purchased a more comprehensive textbook.

Although all have their merits, out of the three introductory semantics texts I read, I would recommend this book to those who are curious or beginning to explore the subject. Portner's writing is exceptionally paced, and at times quite entertaining (relative to textbooks in general, not just those for formal semantics).The thought exercises and line-art diagrams are well constructed and organized, and the discussions related to set theory and pragmatics were especially helpful.

This textbook gets the highest rating, for it's simply the go-to text on college-level semantics. I do really appreciate the fact that the book's chapters can be read in either a sequential fashion or as stand-alone learning resources. The Portner textbook is the absolute authority in introductory linguistics.

I received a Kitchen Aid food processor and it came without a recipe book. I checked this book out of my local library and was so impressed that I had to purchase it. It was so incredibly helpful. Ms. Gilletz gives step by step instructions for working the new food processors. She starts out with very helpful tips and each section has more tips. She has a section on baby food. She has information on why one should use organic food and she has lots of suggestions for healthy eating. She suggests uses for the food processor that I never would have thought of. She tells how to use it for baking. It is far less time consuming to mix cookies and brownies in the food processor than in my stand mixer. Ms. Gilletz has a section for Passover cooking and information on Kosher recipes. All of her recipes are simple and easy to understand. I have saved a lot of time in my kitchen and I have streamlined my use of the food processor saving lots of clean-up. This book is a must have.

I tried another recipe last night, and as I have time, I read the techniques section to improve my usage. I ordered this with my third Cuisinart, First two died natural deaths from being used for bread making and chopping vegetables all the time. I have switched from my adaptation of the Jewish Catalog recipe for challah to the recipe in this "bible". I highly recommend this modern, tasty but much lighter version, which tastes almost like brioche, but is made with very little oil and only 2 eggs. I am turning to this cookbook more and more often. Last night's recipe was turkey cutlets with peppers and mushrooms, very fast, but elegant-looking. The recipes are exact and clear, the technique and explanations are excellent. I would recommend anyone trying to use a food processor, check out the suggestions in this book, from keeping splashes down to adapting recipes to make in the food processor. It is a well-organized, clear explanation of how tos, and good food recipes.

Purchased this book after getting a food processor for Christmas a few years ago. Except for 2 baking recipes, I never use this cookbook. Unless you're feeding a large family, which I'm not, none of the dinner recipes are usable (feed 8+ people). I was really disappointed as I was hoping this would give me loads of recipes to make, especially for dinner.

First tip I read made me glad I bought it! Can't wait to read more [been so busy being out of town & traveling]. It would have changed the few bad reviews of my food processor to great reviews, with the tips in this book! [Some people don't even read their manuals thoroughly! ]

I read the reviews for both this book and the 650 Best Recipes book. Totally confused I went to a local store to study the books. In my case this is the better book. I have not had a food processor in years. The one I recently bought is a great machine but has only operating instructions in the booklet. The Food Processor Bible is loaded with instructions about how to best use the machine, something I desperately needed. The recipes were more suited to the type of food we eat.She even has some recipes for gluten free folks. She does not have a pimento cheese recipe but as that is a regional dish, I can find a recipe elsewhere. Both books are fine books. It all depends on how much help you need learning how best tot use the machine.

The only reason I'm detracting a star is that the cookbook didn't have one single picture. The recipes sound scrumptious and I certainly have no regrets with the purchase of the book. If I had flipped through this book at the bookstore I still would have made the purchase. That being said, I do like to see what the finished product should look like and often chose which recipes I want to try first based on the photographs presented in a cookbook.

Better than ever and many more recipes than her previous editions, which I've been using for almost 40 years. A vital necessity of you use a food processor and also has all the Jewish recipes I need.

Provides great reading on the use and performance of the Food Processor. Great use Ideas that the normal user would never entertain using.
