Rare are the books that are truly hard to put down, fewer that give great comfort in a world lost in its own allusions. This book by Bill Salus is such a volume. I have read most of the Biblical scholars that have earned the respect they have garnered due to their outstanding scholarship and predictions that prophesy give those who study its passages. Most people today have a foreboding gloom that our world is rushing into a reality that will be unlike any seen before. You see this in the movies that paint a devastating world where all of nature as well as mankind have been reduced to a devastation never seen, but predicted within the prophets of both the Old and New Testaments. As is shown in this book, events are leading to the end of the present age, but with that scenario on the horizon there is hope for a truly idyllic world ahead for those who chose to follow the prescription given in scriptures and so beautifully illustrated in this and other volumes by Mr. Salus. Scoffers have laughed at the prophesies that great minds like Sir Isaac Newton predicted, such as in the End Times man would travel well over 30 miles an hour, causing the leading atheist of his time, Voltaire, to scoff, "What a fool Christianity has made of this great mind; everyone knows that man would never be able to travel at such speeds and survive." Many such pundits who dismiss out of hand the predictions of the Bible earn such contempt. Today, as Mr. Salus depicts, the stakes are immense, the dangers beyond fathoming, but the clarity that he portrays the path ahead gives solace in a world that is teetering on the precipice. Just today the forces arrayed on the northern border of Israel are promising to wipe that state off the map. Instead the Bible predicts this very alliance but a far different conclusion to such intentions. Many, including Dr. Henry Kissinger have expressed a desire for a world leader to quell the storms seen arising on the horizon. As the saying goes, "Be careful what you wish for" because there will be such a man, but instead of peace he will bring the destruction of unprecedented horrors. making former monsters seem tame by comparison.
